Established back in 1983 by Derek Scotland and Philip Swift, Audiolab is a popular British manufacturer of high-end audio electronics. The duo first met when they were still students at the Imperial College, and at the time, were extremely frustrated with the exorbitant cost and difficult usability of common hi-fi equipment at the time.

Their first product was a simple yet stylish-looking integrated amplifier, that fulfilled the needs of the discerning audiophiles of the era. Eventually, the company would expand its production lines to include other important audio components such as pre-amplifiers, CD players, stereo receivers and tuners, transports, as well as a line of analog to digital converters. All of the products produced by Audiolab are designed to be simple to use, yet provide a high-quality output with low distortion.
